International Theatre Vienna
Vienna
Since 1980, the International Theatre Vienna opened and is located in the 9th district. Since then, more than 100 plays have been performed, including 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf' and 'Of Mice and Men'. The piece 'A Christmas Carol' is performed every Christmas and has since become an institution. Definitely go and have a look if you are around in the right season.
Four to six new works are played each season. But the theater is also used for lectures, workshops and charity events - a good place to meet and get to know the English speaking community in Vienna. After performances or events the in house bar is a great meeting spot and it is easy to start a conversation with interesting people.
