What to order? Definitely the boiled aitchbone called 'Tafelspitz'. It is served in a copper pot with root vegetables, and leek, and placed right in front of you on the table. It will be served with chive sauce, apple with horseradish, spinach with cream and roasted potatoes - a dream! ....But, there are loads of alternatives, plenty of other traditional dishes you can choose from. It ranges from excellent steak, to Wiener Schnitzel, sweet water fish (Forelle is an excellent choice) to vegetarian delights to mouthwatering desserts.....try the Mohr im Hemd here (a sort of chocolate pudding surrounded with whipped creme) - a hit!
Reservations would be highly recommended - the restaurant is alweys busy, especially in the inner city.
