Nestled between dramatic peaks and the sparkling waters of Lake Hallstatt, this picturesque village looks like a storybook come to life.
Wander through charming streets lined with historic wooden houses, enjoy local cafés, and capture stunning lake and mountain views.
You’ll also have the option to take in panoramic vistas or simply slow down and breathe in the fresh alpine air.
**Salzburg – Music, Baroque, and The Sound of Music**
Next, we visit Salzburg, the hometown of Mozart and a city full of cultural richness.
Stroll through the UNESCO-listed Old Town, explore Mirabell Gardens, Salzburg Cathedral, and Getreidegasse, and see where *The Sound of Music* was filmed.
Your guide will walk you through the city’s fascinating history, and you’ll also have time to enjoy the atmosphere on your own — whether that’s grabbing a slice of Sachertorte or shopping for souvenirs.
**In the warmer seasons and when daylight allows, we may include an optional stop in the peaceful lakeside village of Traunkirchen on the shores of Lake Traunsee.
Please note: this stop is not available during the winter season, as shorter daylight hours limit the overall route. Our main priority is to give you enough time to fully experience the key highlights of the tour — Hallstatt and Salzburg — without rushing or cutting corners.
