Mozart Kugel Workshop
Vienna (State), Vienna
"Craft Austria's cherished Mozartkugel at our workshop with expert guidance. Create a masterpiece with hazelnut, pistachio, marzipan, and your choice of chocolate and foils."
Overview
The Mozartkugel Workshop in Vienna suits chocolate lovers interested in crafting Austria’s iconic Mozartkugel and tasting historic Orange Hot Chocolate.
Description
This workshop teaches you how to create Mozartkugels, Austria’s famous chocolate confection named after composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Skilled chocolatiers guide you through making the sweet’s core by blending hazelnuts into a nutty mixture. Then you will layer pistachio mass over the hazelnut base for flavor and color.
Next, you shape a fine marzipan layer around the pistachio and hazelnut center. To finish, you coat your creation in your choice of milk, white, or dark chocolate. After the chocolate sets, you wrap your Mozartkugel in a colorful foil and place it in a beautiful box for safekeeping.
The workshop also includes Maria Antonietta’s Orange Hot Chocolate, where you learn to prepare a rich, spiced hot chocolate infused with fresh orange zest, an aromatic recipe inspired by Austrian royal tradition. This part enriches your experience by connecting culinary craft with local history and flavor.
