Description
Explore the oldest section of the Hofburg Palace, the Swiss Wing, where the Habsburg treasures are displayed. See some of the most precious jewels, including one of the largest emeralds in the world, symbolizing the former power of the Habsburg dynasty.
Other notable exhibits include the treasure of the Order of the Golden Fleece, collections from 15th-century Burgundy, and the cradle of Napoleon II, the King of Rome.
The collection features exquisite jewelry from Habsburg empresses and princesses, including parts of Empress Elisabeth’s original pieces. Legendary artifacts include the Holy Lance dating to the 8th century, the world’s largest cut emerald, the largest agate bowl known as the Holy Grail, and the horn of a unicorn.

Important Information
- Children and youths under 19 generally have free admission. School groups under 19 must be registered through the museum's booking department at booking.tourist@khm.at without exception.
- For adult groups, only one tour guide per group with a voucher booking is granted free admission when accompanying the group in the museum.
- Free tour guide admission applies to groups larger than 10 people. For groups smaller than 10, guides must pay admission as regular participants.
- State-certified tourist guides usually have free entrance.
