Where to Watch the Eurovision Final in Vienna (With Country-Specific Cafes)

Part of the My Guide Network Since 2006 180+ destinations

The Main Event: Eurovision Village at Rathausplatz

Rathausplatz, 1010 Vienna | Open 14:00 CEST to midnight (or until the show ends)
If you want the full experience — the big crowd energy, the collective gasp when the points come in, the strangers hugging you when your country gets douze points — this is it.

The Eurovision Village is free, open-air, and fits up to 20,000 people in front of 15 giant screens. It's been running since 10 May with daily live performances, DJs, and interactive events, and tonight it all peaks with the Grand Final broadcast.

Beyond the screens, there are 14 food stands serving everything from Wiener Schnitzel to international street food, a turquoise carpet photo point (yes, you will pose on it), a digitally enhanced karaoke booth, and a Eurovision quiz hosted by Robert Steiner.

The full programme is on eurovision.wien.gv.at or in the ivie app. Get there early if you want a decent spot — this is the beating heart of Eurovision Vienna.

Other Great Viewing Spots

Volksoper

Währinger Straße 78, 1090 Vienna | Doors for the Grand Final broadcast at 21:00 | Free admission
Watching Eurovision projected on a big screen inside an actual Viennese opera house. Only in this city would that happen. The Volksoper is offering free tickets through their box office, and honestly, the acoustics alone make this worth it. Grab tickets ahead of time — they will go.

Ottakringer Brauerei

Ottakringer Platz 1, 1160 Vienna | From 19:00
Vienna's biggest brewery — and the one making the official Eurovision fan beer — is throwing a proper watch party in their historic brewery hall. Rustic setting, festival atmosphere, cold beer brewed about ten metres from where you're sitting. If you like your Eurovision loud and social, this is your place.

Votiv Kino

Währinger Straße 12, 1090 Vienna | 21:00
For a more intimate vibe, this beloved arthouse cinema is hosting a public viewing of the Grand Final. Big screen, proper cinema seats, probably the most comfortable Eurovision viewing in the city. A good pick if you want to actually watch rather than party.

EuroClub at PraterDome

Riesenradplatz 7, 1020 Vienna | Running 11–16 May
The official EuroClub — the nightlife hub where delegations, artists, and fans collide. Live performances by Eurovision acts, DJ sets, themed parties, all hosted by Eric Papilaya. If you're reading this during the day on 16 May, note that PraterDome is also hosting Europe's largest Eurovision Kids Disco right now (ages 6–12), featuring a performance by Auri, the Vienna 2026 mascot.

The Loft (Bar auf dem Gürtel)

Lerchenfelder Gürtel 37, 1160 Vienna | Table reservations required
An official partner bar showing the Grand Final in a more laid-back setting. Good drinks, relaxed crowd. But you'll need a reservation — walk-ins are unlikely to get a table tonight.

The Eurofan Cafes: Country-Specific Watch Parties

This is the part that makes Vienna 2026 genuinely special.

From 3–17 May, selected Viennese coffee houses have been transformed into official Eurofan Cafes, each one representing one or two of the 35 competing countries. These are real, historic Viennese cafes — marble tables, wood panelling, the works — decorated in their adopted country's colours and serving that country's food and drinks.

The idea is brilliant: each cafe becomes a gathering point for fans, delegations, and — if you time it right — the artists themselves. There's been live music, meet-and-greets, karaoke nights, and DJ sets running all fortnight.

Several of them are also hosting public viewings of the Grand Final. Here's the full list, with addresses, so you can find your country:

A Few Local Picks

If you're asking me where I'd go? It depends what you're after.
  • For the spectacle: Rathausplatz, no question. Arrive by 19:00 to get a good spot near the screens.
  • For something uniquely Viennese: The Volksoper. Where else in the world do you watch Eurovision in an opera house?
  • For food and atmosphere: Ottakringer Brauerei. The brewery hall, the fan beer, the crowd — it's a proper night out.
  • For the cafe experience: Cafe Landtmann for UK and San Marino fans is a lovely choice — it's one of Vienna's grandest cafes, right on the Ringstraße opposite the Burgtheater. Cafe Sperl (France, Lithuania) is another stunner; it hasn't changed much since the 1880s. And if you're supporting Australia, Crossfield's is showing the final, so you get both the country vibe and the big screen.
  • For a quieter watch: Votiv Kino. Cinema seats, good sound, no one spilling beer on you.
