Thanks to its location only about one to one and a half hours from Vienna by car, Semmering is easy to reach and ideal for a spontaneous family outing into the mountains.
Driving to Semmering is straightforward and comfortable, even with children. The route leads south through Lower Austria and Styria, gradually entering a mountain landscape with forests, tunnels, and snowy views that already create a winter mood.
You will spend the day with your guide, who will show you the Alpine resorts and entertainment attractions. The price includes the cable car ride up to the resort and a ticket for the toboggan run for the return trip. Any changes due to weather conditions will be communicated to you in advance.
Zauberberg Semmering is particularly well suited for families with younger children. Instead of focusing on skiing, many families come here to enjoy snow play areas, gentle hills for sledding, and safe open spaces where children can freely play in the snow. Tobogganing is a major highlight and guarantees laughter and excitement for all ages. Parents can easily supervise while enjoying the alpine surroundings and a relaxed atmosphere.

Later in the afternoon, we will drive a short distance to Stuhleck for a change of scenery. Even without skiing, the area offers beautiful viewpoints, snowy walking paths, and plenty of space for children to play, build snowmen, or simply enjoy being in the mountains.
