Reviews
What we enjoyed most was the overall concept and atmosphere of Le Sept. The 4-course tasting menu was perfectly balanced for an elegant evening dinner — refined and satisfying without being overwhelmingly long, which we especially appreciated. In many fine dining restaurants today, 6- or 8-course menus can become more exhausting than enjoyable. We were also impressed by the creativity and confidence of the cuisine. The flavor combinations felt innovative yet harmonious, especially dishes such as the sea bass with foie gras, which was memorable and beautifully executed. What truly made the evening exceptional, however, was the human side of the experience. We had warm, inspiring and genuinely engaging conversations with the waiter, the assistant restaurant manager and the sous-chef — something we have rarely experienced even in Michelin-starred restaurants around the world. It created an atmosphere closer to a private dining experience than a formal luxury restaurant. Combined with the elegant design of the restaurant and the calm atmosphere of the Mandarin Oriental Vienna, the evening felt very special and personal for our wedding anniversary celebration. Le Sept feels like a restaurant confidently on its way toward earning its first Michelin star after its recent opening.
We had a fantastic birthday dinner celebration at Le Sept, and the experience was truly exceptional. Guillaume, Bengemint, and Amos had thoughtfully supported our pre-arrangements. Philip and Anna also provided attentive service that made us feel genuinely welcome and well looked after. Chef Alex also shared an inspiring introduction to the exquisitely prepared dessert course. The level of hospitality, combined with the beautifully crafted dishes and refined atmosphere, truly elevated the entire dining experience. Every course was thoughtfully presented and full of flavour, making the evening feel both special and memorable. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our celebration so memorable. We are already looking forward to our next visit :)
A very nice fine dining restaurant with a chill and quiet atmosphere, perfect for enjoying your meal. They serve only a 7-course tasting menu, which was overall very good. In my opinion, they are getting quite close to a Michelin one-star level. Some of the courses were on the heavier side - for example, the Austrian wagyu paired with short ribs felt a bit too rich in combination. From my experience, a cover charge should not be added separately to a fixed-price tasting menu, and it was not clearly specified anywhere, so I would have appreciated more transparency in this regard. The staff were very nice and helpful, and our waiter Philip provided excellent service throughout the evening. Overall, a great experience with a small area for improvement.
We had a truly special date night at Le Sept, and I can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we sat down, the experience felt intimate and thoughtfully paced. We had the 7 course menu and it was amazing & great value for money. The dishes were delicate and fresh. My husband did the wine pairing while I chose the non-alcoholic pairing, and both were exceptional and surprisingly creative and unique. The service is also the best I’ve experienced in Vienna! Seats are very limited, so definitely book ahead!
A really perfect experience! The Food, the service , the wine pairing…everything was outstanding!
