Had a delightful late lunch here on a sunny Sunday in July. Booked online as we'd heard it cab get busy but it's so huge and rambling and they had oodles of space so perhaps was not necessary at 14h? Maybe more of a requirement in the evening? The food was excellent, the house fried chicken was divine and moist, the vege burger was a halloumi and roasted veggies in a bun and was scrumptious! We also tried the Riesling risotto and the mushroom sausages, both decent. The wine and spritzers were lovely as was the raisin and apple juice. There was a huge group of older people who arrived at 15h for music and food and there was a kids birthday party happening at same time, so it was busy with great atmosphere. Would definitely come back again!

The food is delicious and authentic. You will see grape vines around and traditional Austrian setting. We loved their wine as well!

We chose to visit a wine garden and you must eat here. I chose the buffet and my friend ordered a man. The roast pork was out of this world and the highlight of my food experience in Vienna so far. Make sure you make reservations.

We love coming here usually the last evening during our stay for the ball. We always enjoy the local musicians . This is our first time back since Covid, seems that the cuisine is elevated. The duck breast was wonderful as a starter. Also great Kabeljau (fried cod) The legendary cream Schmitt was airy and a great way to finish. We love coming here and enjoyed a local wine from the varietal Gemischtersatz - so grafted grape varietal in stead of cuvée or blend of wine !

Mayer is an institution on Vienna. It is one of the most well-known wineries in Vienna. Interestingly Vienna has a few wineries within it city area. These are mainly small wineries that ultimately produce wie for consumption at their restaurant. In this case Mayer produces quite good white wine. The place is awesome and they do deliver a menu for big crowds so you can serve yourself.
