Schubert Haus

Vienna

Museums Composer Residences

The Museum is very interesting as it gives you a good impression on Schuberts musical life, as well as his social circles - Schubert had an exclusive circle of likemind friends in Vienna who got together regularly only to make and enjoy music together.

You will be able to see all sort of documentation on his music, the instruments he used and paintings he painted (not many people know that he was a very good painter indeed), but the most impressive item in the museum are his pair of fairly modest glasses that are displayed there.

The museum is a bit out of the city centre; your best bet is taking public transport to get there - check our public transport section.
