Sisi Museum
Vienna
The Sisi Museum offers an intimate glimpse into the private world of Empress Elisabeth of Austria. One of the most fascinating and misunderstood figures of 19th-century Europe. Located inside the Hofburg Palace, this immersive museum sheds light on the real woman behind the myth: rebellious, poetic, fiercely independent, and deeply human.
Inside the Sisi Museum
Step into the opulent Imperial Apartments and discover over 300 personal items from Sisi’s life: dresses, parasols, beauty tools, and handwritten poetry. The museum’s design contrasts her glamorous public image with her complex private persona. You’ll learn about her rigorous beauty regime, love of travel, and the personal tragedies that shaped her reclusive nature.
