I had such a pleasant experience at Salm Bräu! The food, especially the ribs and pork knuckle, was truly delicious and perfectly cooked 🍖. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was also great, adding to a wonderful meal 🤩. Highly recommended! 👍
Enjoyed my visit here, on a busy Thu night. I was down in the cellar which has a nice atmosphere, brickwork and artifacts etc. On a summer evening would have been just as happy in the upstairs garden bar or indoor seating, all looked good. The menu has plenty of choices but I was there for the ribs. They arrived fairly quickly along with potato wedges. Ribs were good but not great, a bit dry in parts. Wedges adequate but not served hot, and not crisp. I had the beer sample paddle of their own brews, was helpful in choosing something to continue with. Apfelstrudel for dessert, again was solid and plentiful but have had better. Service was pleasant, but in Austria a bit of a jar to be pushed at payment for '5 or 10%' for a tip. Overall good experience but nothing stood out enough to bring me back again
Do not miss to eat here once in Vienna. You can make a reservation online if you like. Food was amazing. We tried pork knuckle for 2 persons, and believe me it is enough for 2, and it was soo delicious. You might add potatoes on the side, and definitely try some of their draught beers. Pork knuckle is a must. 🍺
Top-tier brewery with beers that are strong yet smooth. Dunkel (dark beer) and weizen are recommended. The Stelze and Spare Ribs are legendary. It’s always busy and loud, giving it a great local vibe, but you still get enough privacy at your table. Been visiting since 2009 and it’s still the best. Don’t miss it! Reservation recommended.
Wonderful Vienna experience! The building is so interesting & historical. Be sure to go to the cellar to see the amazing architecture & the lagertanks. The food is delicious & the the portions are very large. We ordered "ribs for one" & it was more than enough for 2 of us to share. We also had the smoked meat on toast & it was amazing!😋 We had the beer sampling & it was a nice way to try the various beer offerings. Definitely a destination when you're in Vienna!
