Directions to A.E.Köchert Jewellers since 1814
A.E.Köchert Jewellers is a family run business since 1814 and today one of Vienna's best known jewellers.
It was foremost the Empress Elisabeth (Sissy) that made Köchert's creations world famous in the mid 19th century - not many women knew how to wear jewellery as well as she did in those days, and she mostly chose one of Köchert's masterpieces to wear with her grand outfits. One of her most exquisite and preferred jewellery were the famous diamond stars (also called Sissy Stars). They became famous all over the world as she had the stars braided into her long hair and portraited on paintings shown all over the world.
There are not many places in Vienna where you can still get a feel for tradition, excellence in craftmanship and style - but here at Köchert Jewellers you can! Köchert's exquisite creations are unmistakable and stand for unique creations, classic design and beauty. All of this combined with excellent goldsmith's skills and their love for detail - this is how Köchert's masterpieces are created till today.
Their current jewellery collections and new creations are just as unique and wonderful as the more traditional lines: just have a look at how they incorporate contemporary accents into their creations, while always staying true to the Firm's traditions.
A visit to Köchert's flagship store in the centre of Vienna will give you an excellent idea what jewellery tradition in Vienna is all about.
