Directions to Die Kaisergruft - Imperial Tombs
This is the place where you would understand the power and wealth the Habsburg dynasty represented in Europe. This crypt is located in a Capuchin monastery with resident monks guarding the tombs. They are lavishly elaborated, beautiful and really a work of art! You will be spending your visit underground admiring the 'catacombes' of Vienna - really impressive!
Note the Capuchin friars taking care of the site at the entrance - you will notice them dressed in their religious clothing. They will be happy to guide you around and hand out more information about the monastery and tombs if you are interested.
