Description
Darrel Joseph has specialized in the wine sector for more than 30 years as an international wine judge, journalist, and lecturer, providing expertise to some of the world’s most important wine competitions and publications. In this specially curated tasting experience, he will guide you through Austria’s key wine regions, grape varieties, and styles - featuring wines from historic family wineries as well as boutique start-ups. Your co-host, Chris Sciacca. After spending 25 years in the technology industry, Chris exchanged his suit for overalls and started a small, organic winery in Krems, Austria from scratch in 2022. He will share some details on viticulture and the production of wine, while sharing his latest vintage. Combined your hosts will share their passion for Austrian wine, curating a tasting menu based on your own interests.Includes
Curated wine list based on your own wishes, typically 6 wines including red, white, rose and sparkling. Orange and sweet wines can also be added. Bread and water will be provided. The tasting will take place in a historic cellar deep under the streets of Vienna dating back to the 1400s. A map of the Austria wine regions and a wine tasting wheel.Important Information
